44 down, 8 to go

This didn't seem like a very sunny day, but it was going to be my ultramarathon day of the week nevertheless.

Altogether, I ran 44.0K in 5:55.

44 down, 8 to go!

Hi, just discovered your blog and love it. Nice pictures, interesting stories. I was trying to figure out why you called yourself Paleo Runner and had to go back to your first entries to find out. I read Taubes' and Cordain's books too- I agree mostly, except I don't think you have to be desperate to replace carbs, not unless you intend to use them up next time you run by going anaerobic! and I think Cordain is just wrong like most of the medical professionals about saturated fat. But it's a step in the right direction.

We've gotten into ultra running while low carb dieting, but haven't really blogged much about it. I intend to write up some of the studies I've been reading about diet and performance and about some of our experiences with races, and would appreciate your comments and observations.

Keep up the good work!

Cynthia
