Pole to Pole Run

I doubt Pole To Pole will be "the greatest run in history", but it certainly would be great if Pat Farmer would be successful in raising 100 million dollars for Red Cross.

His over 21,000 km journey will start in April 2, 2011. If he can run two marathons (85 km) a day - like he plans to - it would take him about 250 days.

However the website says it will take a year with no days off, so something doesn't quite add up here.

obviously there will be many days in there where he won't achieve the full 85K. For example the substantial amount of time he'll spend on the arctic and antarctic ice will be much slower going. also, the website states April 2011 to January 2012. That's not a year.

Obviously they have now corrected their website and added tons of stuff there since my post. They said it was going to take a year. I don't care what month he will finish, the main interest for me is to see if he can do it at all. It's for a good cause, so I hope he will make it.
