Good day, Dont aks me how i ended up on your blog. Anyway, where abouts in finland do you run? I'm a swiss living in finland. I like trails and longer distances (been to vsb before).
Alright. As usual, a woman was the cause. But i'm always happy to go back to the alps and do a few races there per year. I'm in manse. Verbier-st.bernhard 2010 was a beast, weather wise. Anyways, nice to know that there's "mountain" trail runners in finland!
This year was bit of an "off" year for me, ultra trail wise. Just have two more marathons (one road, and one in the mountains of my childhood in Switzerland) coming up. Then a longer break and i guess i will then (next season) stopp road racing alltogether and moving back towards ultras. Utmb certainly is a long time goal. Did the mont blanc marathon last year and the landscape is just amazing. Well, you know, since vsb goes partly through it. I wanna start doing a few classic races in the alps in the future. Some races in norway and sweden also seem interesting. Well, there's a lot. Good luck with your utmb (and ccc) preparation.

Hi Sergio! Ok i won't ask how you ended up on my blog, but how on earth did a Swiss guy end up in Finland? :) Anyway I'm based in Helsinki.

I always think it's a bit sad that there's not more (ultra) trail races in finland. With such great nature.
Yes there's nothing interesting going on in Finland. There are some good races in Sweden though. And the Alps are not that far away!
So what races you are doing this year? Aiming for UTMB or have you done that already?
