My Chamonix images

Chamonix is such a cool town. Especially during the UTMB week. I'll be back.

Ultra trail outdoor expo with wooden cabins.

Rafting River Arve? Maybe next time!

Centre Sportif is where you get your race package sorted out - eventually.

Finishers of the four events kept on finishing all weekend.

Place du Triangle de l'AmitiƩ was crowded with spectators, organizers and competitors.

Fellow runner/blogger Will (An Ultra Runners Blog) after his spectacular UTMB finish.

Chamonix is located right beside the Mont Blanc massif.

Maison de la Montagne - mountain office.

The weather was beautiful in Chamonix - except during the race of course :)

Swiss, French and Italian flags to celebrate the three countries along the race course.

One of the last teams of PTL arriving (couple days after the winning Finnish team).

A big screen displayed race events to the public.

Passionate spectators create a fantastic race atmosphere.

Many racers had brought family and friends to Chamonix - a good idea!

Mont Blanc covered in mysterious permanent cloud.

Aiguille du Midi top station (3€ extra for the lift is worth it) at 3842 m.

Aiguille du Midi cable car station at 3777 m.

Climbers on their way.

The valley towards Argentiere and Vallorcine, the last two aid stations of CCC 2012.

Magnificent mountain views.

An Alpine Chough landed in front of me to rest its wings.

A steep wall with spectators eyeballing Mont Blanc.

More climbers.

They say on a clear day you can see Monte Rosa, not this time though.

Kilian's typical training ground.
