Ultratrail Collserola Preview

BCN view from Sagrat Cor on top of Tibidabo.

BIG time! I've finally decided to get my lazy Butt In Gear. I'll kick off my next running season with Ultratrail Collserola in Barcelona on Saturday, 21 November 2015.

This will be the 3rd edition of the event consisting of four races. This year the ultra distance has been increased to 85km with 2940 meters of ascent and naturally the same amount of descent as well.

The course is an 8-shaped loop in Parc Natural de Collserola, Barcelona's largest park. The race HQ with the start/finish area is conveniently located near Mundet metro station (Line 3).

I decided to do this race during our Mount Tibidabo Expedition last year with TPjr. The views from the top of BCN were fantastic and the trails in the beautiful green park were excellent.

They will allow 500 runners in each race. There are still a few places left for the 85km, should you be interested. SOLD OUT!

You can follow the race live at utcollserola.livetrail.net - my bib is 365.
