Phuket Xmas Xtreme

Happy New Year everyone! Our short 2-minute film about our Christmas adventures in Thailand was released today. It was shot with GoPro Hero4 action camera at HD1080p quality.

The traditional paper lanterns released in the air over the Andaman Sea in the middle of the video were filmed on 26 December 2014, the 10th Anniversary Memorial Day of the 2004 tsunami tragedy where thousands of lives were lost and shattered around our filming locations in Phuket, Phang Nga and Phi Phi islands. This film honors the courage, perseverance and love of the people who have helped in the recovery process.

This area is a fantastic place to visit especially for seasports and we highly recommend it.

As my 2015 New Year's resolution, I promise to stop feeding the monkeys! :)

As a bonus, here's our timelapse filmed during the holiday week with two Canons.

great vid! I got a go pro 4 this xmas and I still haven't learned how to use it! you need to take this with you at UTMB. Yes?

Thanks! Yes of course! Don't leave home without GoPro! It will probably be in the infamous obligatory UTMB equipment list since it waterproof, and the organizers tend to require all WP gear (just kidding, please let me win :)

On the topic of learning to use GoPro, I think we managed to make every possible rookie mistake in creating this film. Above all remember the battery and memory card won't last forever, so it might be a good idea to think a little before you shoot any footage. And navigating through GoPro Studio in the editing phase can be every bit as tricky as UTMB course :)

Can't wait to see your GoPro vids Will ;)
